Stop pre-employment Drug Tests January 31, 2011

Pre-employment drug tests are prevalent in the U.S with very disturbing consequences. The short sighted may argue 'drugs are not good anyway' but by denying people employment, we are essentially sending them to the streets. We make them criminals! Or harder criminals. People end up committing much worse crimes than using drugs, not necessarily due to drugs, but because we deny them employment.

Crack heads hardly look for Job. It is mainly marijuana smokers who are affected by pre-employment drug tests. Companies know that calling it pre-employment marijuana test can create problems. So they ask the testing companies to test for marijuana and one or two other drugs. If you use ecstasy or the latest street drug you are less likely to fail the test. Needless to compare if such users are more dangerous than the marijuana and alcohol users, we must question the need for such tests and the effects on society.

What kind of jobs should require drug testing? I remember going for a drug test for a bagging Job at a supermarket in the United States. The number of times I went for pre-employment drug tests in the U.S are uncountable. Often for low paying jobs that only minorities, immigrants, and students may scramble for. Better paying jobs that calls for more responsibility are hardly drug tested. This is all in the United States and why is the sharp differences? Obviously, within the U.S, some states are worse than others.

When I moved to Canada, I struggle with similar countless low paying jobs but never been drug tested. Until recently, I hardly stay more than three months at a job for reasons beyond this discussion. The simple reality is Canada has similar marijuana problems as the U.S but due to the fact that Canada struggle with labor shortages, Canadian companies and the Canadian government know lot better than copying the U.S in their insane pre-employment drug testing screenings. Even though most U.S companies exist in Canada, there can be diverse standing on drugs within the same company and/or their affiliates between the two countries.

We are saying unnecessary pre-employment drug testing is wrong based on thinking and regardless of where. We are saying it has worsen due to copying within the U.S rather than learning beyond her borders. Just like individuals should learn from each other, companies from companies – countries should also learn from each other.

We are not here just to analyze but to make a difference, to improve U.S companies from unnecessary drug testings. If both Sears Canada and Sears U.S subject people to unnecessary drug testing, it is still our responsibility to improve them. If Sears Canada does not require pre-employment drug tests but instead happens to have a program that will help her employees and their relatives in drug related problems, then we should be extra hard on Sears U.S to emulate such beautiful standing. You may not believe it if you live in the U.S, but indeed, Sears Canada has this drug helping program and so are many other companies in Canada. Not many companies will fire an employee for drug use problems in Canada.

There are countless Canadian companies filled with fairly 'responsible' Marijuana smokers supplying U.S companies. If marijuana smokers are safely operating dangerous machines in Canada to make products for the U.S consumers, then why should we deny marijuana smokers the right to a bagging job at a supermarket in the U.S? If both Canada and Netherlands have comparable job related accidents with the U.S and lower crime rates than the U.S; then we should seriously question if pre-employment drug tests is at least partly responsible for the higher crime rate in the U.S.

It is important to understand that companies should not assume police responsibilities. And pre-employment drug tests doesn't not in any way complement police operations, it hardens it. For every teenager we deny employment through drug tests, we can guess two will stay away for various reasons to eventually apply job at the street level. Police jobs become harder, our communities become less safe, our taxes go higher, and we keep blaming each other.

Whereas if we embrace that mistaken teenager through employment, responsible co-workers may influence him or her to being drug free. S/he will spend less time with worse criminals. We will draw from the streets rather than send to streets. The war on drugs has woefully failed in the U.S because : S/he who does not tolerate deserves the intolerable to learn to appreciate the tolerable. There is a limit to how hard police and Judges can be. And the civil world must exercise patience and tolerance before police and judges.

Rather than trust, I am more comfortable with daily taking of alcohol and marijuana 'breathe level' of pilots than daily passenger pad-downs. Companies can buy similar machines as well, we are not condoning being high or drunk on the job. We respect Showlove Trinity separately and collectively.

Many Countries have pre-employment drug testing on about one percent of highly responsible and dangerous jobs. Only America tests against marijuana more than Saudi Arabia may ever test against alcohol. I doubt if there is pre-employment Alcohol test in Saudi Arabia and even that cannot Justify America's wrongs. It is important to ask why because America neither has less work related accidents and her general crime rate is lot worse than many countries.

Stopping or reducing these unnecessary drug tests will require more concentrated efforts with diverse approach. We will need a web site that will list guilty companies to possibly urge people to boycott their products and /or services. Research and updates to share for historical records. Possible lawsuits. Although related, The stop pre-employment drug tests movement needs to always stand separate from the call to decriminalize or legalize marijuana.

I doubt if there are many people who will find it hard to understand this is for our common good. We all know people who use marijuana and responsibly hold jobs better than people like myself. Some do not know how to pass drug tests and some do not have friends to pass for them and those are the people that need help. I remember taking pre-employment drug tests for two of my friends . I certainly didn't feel like I was committing a crime but rather helping someone to get a Job. I am not urging you to take a drug test for someone but you can certainly contribute to this project that will provide more people work opportunities; and steer the mistaken from the streets.

How can you help? Spread the information. If you know a company that practice pre-employment drug tests, please submit their name and information to us – we will contact them, try to convince them to do the right thing or eventually list them for boycotting purpose and historical bashing. When we list the guilty companies, try to avoid their products and services, they will quickly feel it. Notice, we are using the word avoid instead of stop. Suppose we list Sears U.S, or home depot , on the guilty list, need may drive you to one of them – then you can remind them you are still avoiding them on other products. Such echoing in their face will certainly advance our cause. Most companies have web sites, write to them. Donate to the project if possible. Buy our products, if we consider making any. Pray for us. Think about anything you can possibly do to help.

Under normal circumstances, this project should swiftly win its fight with the right leadership. Due to the fact I have little time, not presently in the U.S among other things, I am urging a responsible someone to step-up and take over this project. I will lend my support whenever and wherever possible. The persons must be able to mobilize people, write to companies and governments, initiate lawsuits, build research teams, present information to the media etc . If you know a potential candidate, please forward it to him or her. Till then, I will partially be pushing it. May God bless those who spread this information. Where and why these drug tests. Why Georgia needs driver's license as voting license but not every constituency. Oh, politicians cry about low voter turnout except some Americans. They will limit the turn out if they can predict who will be most affected. Sacrifice to the heathens mean hating your enemy more than loving yourself. Still they will brag and insist no ulterior motive. Every bill has a target. Only the brightest know the difference between equality before the law, equality on the law, and equality after law AKA gambling.

Where and why these drug tests. See it on low paying jobs while the health minister burns the herb. More pronounced in some urban area but hardly in rural and Canada. Working is a right but also a responsibility. Please take away my voting rights before my working rights. Marijuana made a felon and felons are not allowed to vote. You sure know how to predict from the valley of indifference. Influence is your secret job like those diplomatic cables. Don't frown at my lotto playing if you gamble on feeling creatures. Choose which statistics to embarrass me but time will set me free. Where and why these drug tests.

Viceroy of Satan or God?

Oh universal Just Judge, You who blessed us with Showlove Trinity. You who blessed us with countless spin offs due to your love for learning and respect for working. You who create the genes through power distribution that influence our dependencies and beyond. Didn't you generously help for redistribution? Didn't you withhold punishment for tolerance and beyond? Didn't you said you created us as your viceroy on earth? Shouldn't we love Justice including tolerance like you? Shouldn't we respect power distribution especially within Showlove Trinity?

Why do they hardly share and often with insultings? Why are they obsessed with punishment, even on working? Why do they mimic Satanic ways on earth? Why do they rejoice in punishment as “Justice”? Why are they indifferent to even access to working?

Aaah, aaahh, aaahhh. Reprieve if they repent but curse them if they don't. Curse the Satanic leaders of this world and even those who trust in their evil ways. Those who claim they create jobs but instead deny jobs with indifference. Those who accept “responsibility” of not creating enough jobs but never thought about the jobs they deny with inactions. Those who deny education with prohibited cost, those who deny working with unnecessary requirements, and those who discriminate against 'fun ways' with tax worshiping rules and beyond.

Aaah, aaahh, aaahhh. Reprieve if they repent but curse them if they don't. Curse some companies with more than recession and bankruptcy. Companies that celebrate with alcohol but deny access to working with pre-employment marijuana tests. Companies that discriminate with unjust expectations like begging or 'kissing ass'. Companies that set “standards” with total indifference or discriminate through power distribution. Companies that worship power rather than analyze net choices.

Aaah, aaahh, aaahhh. Reprieve if they repent but curse them if they don't. Curse individuals who encourage cliquey 'allies' or discriminate with punishment. Those who whisper evil in bosses' ears where systems should report. Those who won't stand up neither for themselves nor for others. Those who bank on begging rather than hard work. Those who don't appreciate learning for the sake of Justice and tolerance.

Law-made Criminals.

What is the meaning of Crime? They said hurting others or what leads to it. On the latter, they prohibit herb on me. Naive citizens, including myself, pay taxes not to be hurt by others. But is it a crime when rules and laws lead to hurting others? How many herb smokers will not hurt others until denied working? May be pre-employment herb tests lead to problems more than herb.

Why can't you see those law made criminals who don't even bother to look for job. There are government rules to protect even such people. But where are those rules for the mistaken children who are lost in media swings. Those who still have some respect for working. Should we tolerate them now or later? I will defend the media and Rappers but even more to the victims that eye a main branch of showlove Trinity.

Systematically law-made criminals: Deny them jobs, so that they look to the streets. Pick them from the streets and seize their properties to feed them in the prison. Tell the naive tax payers to feed them or they will hurt you, scare them, just scare them. Then ask for bail as a right or license to hurt others. If they complaint, remind the public about tolerance but never on pre-employment herb tests. If they complaint harder, remind them the possibility of rehabilitation. Tell them rehabilitation is possible anywhere, in prison, on the streets, anywhere! except at the work place. If they keep complaining, send some politicians to encourage companies that hire criminals with records more than companies that hire without pre-employment herb tests. Yeah! We are empowered politicians, we can threaten companies behind curtains against Julian Assange or anything. We can make laws based on “public interest” with any vague definition against Julian Assange or anything. We can make pardon laws to gamble danger at the workplace. We can make laws against companies that discriminate criminals who completed their time. We can even give Jobs to criminals in prison without pre-employment herb test. We have the power to convince companies gently, force them secretly, and/or make laws based on “public interest”. But unfortunately, we cannot urge nor convince companies on pre-employment herb test. It is probable or debatable 'public interest' but simply against our inner circle interest. Let us create “special forces” to assassinate freedom fighters and stand aloof with fake regrets, indifference, or “under investigation”. We can say is possibly suicide or anything; we are entrusted! By bunch of followers.
